The first family of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which is in a damage control exercise to save soured relations with its allies, faced fresh trouble on Tuesday when senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi 'exposed the sixth shell company of the Yadav clan for allegedly amassing money and property using dubious means.

Modi, who has made allegations against RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family of owning Benami properties worth Rs 1,000 crore, has already 'exposed five shell companies' — Delight Marketing, AB Exports, AK Infosystems Pvt Ltd, Mishail Packers and KKH Holdings, through which the family allegedly conducted their businesses.

"The sixth shell company is Fairgrow Holding Private Limited, which is registered at an address in Kolkata, but doesn't exist there. The modus operandi is the same as others — the company was established by other people in 1991, bought properties and finally transferred the ownership in the name of Lalu's children in 2014," Modi said, while addressing media persons after his weekly Janata Darbar on Tuesday.

The BJP leader alleged that eight of the 15 shareholder of Fairgrow have the same address, which was found to be fake on investigation. "There are no shareholders in the company, which now belongs to Tejaswi, Tej Pratap, Chanda and Ragini," Modi said, while flashing relevant documents at the news meet.

He also pointed that the company bought a house worth Rs 76.32 lakh in 2008. "It is reflected in their balance sheet till 2011. However, in 2012, there is no house but a plot of the same value reflected in the balance sheet. Where is the house, worth over Rs 10 crore, today?," Modi said.

The Income Tax Department is already probing some of the allegations and attacked properties belonging to Lalu's family members earlier this month. "The law will very soon take its course against Tejashwi, Tej Pratap and all other involved in this business," Modi said and added, "It seems even Lalu is not aware of how much property he owns."
