Kerala government today said necessary arrangements have been made to bring back the bodies of seven persons from the state, who were killed in a road accident in Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the state police was in touch with their Tamil Nadu counterpart to make arrangements to transport the bodies of the victims to their native place, Kasargod, an official release said here.

Seven persons were killed and three injured when their car collided with a lorry at Karur early today.

The victims were returning after visiting the famous Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health at Velankanni in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu when the accident took place.

Vijayan expressed condolences to the victims' kin and said steps had also been taken to provide treatment to the injured.
