Author Chetan Bhagat took to Twitter to express his views about the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army that killed 38 terrorists.
In response to the recent Uri attack that killed 18 soldiers, the Indian Army on Wednesday night conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) on terror launch pads.
Addressing a joint press conference with External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Thursday, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said, "Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads on the LoC. Heavy damages have been caused to terrorists and many of them have been killed."
Bhagat stated that one should neither be proud nor be ashamed about the strike since it was something that needed to be done to prove a point.
Nothing to be too proud about. Nothing to be ashamed about. Just something that needed to be done, to prove a point. #SurgicalStrike
