The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a second supplementary charge sheet in a special CBI Court in Mumbai in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.

Earlier on Monday, the investigating agency had informed the court that it would be filing a second supplementary charge sheet in this connection on October 21; whereas earlier this week, the agency had informed the Bombay High Court "which is hearing a bail plea filed by Peter Mukerjea who in the jail since November last" that it was planning to file an additional chargesheet in the case.

Also, the CBI had sought time during the hearing of the bail plea of Peter Mukerjea in the high court, stating that they want to file a second supplementary chargesheet in the CBI court. However, the high court adjourned the bail hearing for two weeks, of which one week has already been passed.

In the meantime, arguments on framing of charges will start at 3 pm on Saturday, while the charges of all the accused would be framed next week and the trial would commence in December and conclude in February. In February, the CBI in a supplementary charge sheet reportedly stated that prime accused Peter and Indrani had been planning Sheena's murder since 2009, because they were unhappy with her relationship with Rahul. As per report, the 52-page charge sheet also includes call records between the husband and wife after disposing of Sheena's body.
