Shashi Tharoor is one of those politicians who seem to call a spade a spade, even though he does it more eloquently than most people. Recently, on a trip as part of the Parliament’s external affairs committee to Kolkata’s Passport Seva Kendras he was impressed with the services and mentioned that the public were also thrilled with the speed and efficiency of the passport issues.
He wrote on Twitter: “Leading Parliament's ExternalAffairs Committee on visit to Passport Seva Kendra Kolkata, India's largest PSK. V.good! Interacting w/the public & staff at Passport Seva Kendra Kolkata. Passport services have improved dramatically w/PSKs. Many members of the public told me they were impressed by the speed&efficiency of the passport issuance system.”
When one individual wondered if he had a government post, Shashi Tharoor clarified that a parliamentary committee wasn’t a government post and 8 opposition MPS chaired such committees.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj thanked Tharoor for the compliment. She wrote: “Thank you Shashi Tharoor ji Chairman Parliamentary Standing Committee on External affairs.”

@stthyagarajan PSKs were devised &established by the UPA Govt. Procedures laid down then are being followed. But this isn't about politics.
