SBI recruitment: Official notification released for 8653 vacant posts of 'Junior Associates'; here is how to apply

The registration process starts April 12, 2019 and will close on May 3, 2019.

The State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification to fill 8,653 clerical positions. SBI issued the notification for the Clerk Recruitment 2019 on its official website for 8653 Posts of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) (Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2019-20/03). 

The registration process starts today i.e. April 12, 2019 and will close on May 3, 2019. Interested candidates can visit its official website @sbi.co.in to apply.

The preliminary exams are be tentatively scheduled in June 2019. The admit cards will be released in the same month. 

Mains Exam will be held on August 10 and onward.

SBI Clerk recruitment 2019: How to apply

Step-1: Visit the official website - sbi.co.in
Step-2: Click on ‘careers’ image on the top right corner
Step-3: You will be redirected to a new page - http://sbi.co.in/careers/
Step-4: Move the mouse to 'Join SBI' and a drop down menue will appear. Click on 'Current Openings'
Step-5: Click on 'Apply Online' below the option "RECRUITMENT OF JUNIOR ASSOCIATES (CUSTOMER SUPPORT & SALES)"
Step-6: Click on ‘new registration’ and enter details
Step-7: Fill in the required details, upload images and make payment of fee

Pay scale

11765-655/3-13730-815/3-16175-980/4-20095-1145/7-28110-2120/1- 30230-1310/1-31450. The starting Basic Pay is Rs 13075.00 (Rs11765.00 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates.

The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs 25,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. They will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension under New Pension scheme, Medical, Leave fare and other facilities, as per instructions of the Bank as may be issued from time to time.

Eligibility criteria

Education: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. 

Age limit: Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2019, i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.1999 (both days inclusive).

There is relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST, OBC and PWD candidates. Check notification for more details. 

Exam pattern:

Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online.

This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections. There will be a total of 100 questions of 100 marks.

English Language - 30 questions of 30 marks in 20 minutes

Numerical Ability - 35 questions of 35 marks 20 minutes

Reasoning Ability - 35 questions 35 marks in 20 minutes

Main Examination: There will be a total of 190 questions of 200 marks in 2 Hours 40 Minutes.

General/Financial Awareness -  50 questions of 50 marks in 35 minutes

General English - 40 questions of 40 marks in 35 minutes

Quantitative Aptitude - 50 questions of 50 marks in 45 minutes

Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude - 50 questions of 60 marks in 45 minutes
