Saradha scam: TMC's protests prove its guilt says BJP

Mocking Trinamool Congress protest rallies against CBI arrest of Transport Minister Madan Mitra as the 'last resort of a sinking ship', BJP state president Rahul Sinha today said the rallies and protest marches are sending out the message that the party leadership is indeed involved in the Saradha scam.

TMC is trying to flare up political violence in the state, he said adding BJP will not take out any counter rally. "These protests here in Bengal and outside Parliament are nothing but the last resort of a sinking ship ... With the arrest of TMC MPs and Madan Mitra the cat has started to come out of the bag.

"This protest against CBI over the arrest of Mitra proves that they (TMC) are trying to hide something," Sinha told PTI.

When asked why is BJP not taking out any counter rallies, he said, "For next two-three days we won't take out any such rally. Because TMC will try to create violence if we hit the streets now. We won't fall into its trap. The people of Bengal can very well understand who are the political leaders who have benefited from Saradha scam." BJP wants the arrest of those who looted public money, he added.
