After the Congress Party won two out of four seats in Rajasthan in the Assembly bypolls, state Congress President Sachin Pilot said here on Tuesday that the credit for the phenomenal success of the Congress party must be given to the party workers.

Pilot told ANI, "It is a phenomenal success of the Congress party workers. The BJP has had a brute majority in the state of Rajasthan. Three months ago we lost the Parliament elections also by huge margin. All the four seats in the elections were held by the BJP and it had won these seats by the margin of 50,000 or more in some cases."

"We were up against the Government of India, government of Rajasthan. Rajasthan leadership has used all resources at its disposal, money power, muscle power, MLA, MPs and everything. But I think this victory is the result of the hard work of the party workers. Also we have been able to work unitedly, be it young leaders or senior leaders," he added. "Credit must be given to all those who have worked hard for this marvelous victory of the congress party," said Pilot.

Rajasthan's Nasirabad seat has been won by the Congress. The Weir Congress Candidate Bhajanlal defeated his nearest rival of BJP Gangaram Koli with a margin of 25,108 votes. However, the BJP has managed to win only one seat. In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party is ahead in most of the seats by now. The results of bypolls for three Lok Sabha and 33 Assembly constituencies spread across ten states where the bypolls were held on September 13, was announced earlier on Tuesday.
