Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag's tweet, which has been widely circulated as a reply to a Kargil martyr daughter's post from the past, has certainly taken the Internet by storm.

The former opening batsman's tweet has received a mixed response on social media. While he was praised by many, including actor Randeep Hooda, several individuals were of the opinion that it was wrong on his part to have trolled Gurmehar Kaur.

On Tuesday, Indian wrestler and Olympic bronze winner Yogeshwar Dutt trolled Gurmehar by sharing a meme that was doing the rounds comparing her to the likes of terrorist Osama Bin Laden and German dictator Adolf Hitler.

In addition to this, Dutt has also retweeted a parody video of her message in May where she said she was fighting for peace between India and Pakistan

Here is Kaur's original post

And this is the parody video that was originally made by a user called 'Super Londay' that adds a scene from the Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta-starrer Lakshaya that was retweeted by Dutt.

The controversy comes days after violence on the Ramjas College campus when students and teachers clashed with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members after the latter disrupted a session of the two-day seminar on Bastar over the participation of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students, Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid.

Kaur also changed her Facebook profile picture holding a placard which read "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP".

In a Facebook post which has gone viral, she wrote, "The brutal attack on innocent students by ABVP is very disturbing and should be stopped. It was not an attack on protestors, but an attack on every notion of democracy that is held dear in ever Indian's heart. It is an attack on ideals, morals, freedom and rights of every person born to this nation. The stones that you pelt hit our bodies, but fail to bruise our ideas.

However, on Tuesday, Kaur said she would not be paritcipating in the protests any longer and added that she wanted to be left alone.
