Raj Thackeray's wife undergoes surgery after dog bite

 Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's wife Sharmila has undergone a surgery after suffering a dog bite.

A party functionary said the incident occurred on Tuesday when one of their two pet Great Danes 'Bond' bit Sharmila on the face at the couple's house Krushna Kunj in Dadar. She was rushed to the Hinduja Hospital where she underwent surgery on Tuesday.

According to reports, the bite was so severe that the dog's teeth dug into her bones. The dog is a great Dane . The family has two dogs - James and Bond. Thackeray, who was to address a press conference, cancelled the event and rushed to the hospital.
