A two-storey residential building in Pune's Keshav Nagar collapsed on Saturday, injuring at least eight people.

The incident took place today at 12:30 pm in Keshav Nagar area Mundhwa in the city. 

Eight people who were trapped under debris have been rescued and they are admitted to the Sassoon hospital. A small girl is still feared to be trapped under debris.

The building was 30-years-old and the residents were served a notice by the Municipal Corporation to vacate the house. Even though the building was declared as unsafe, residence did not vacate the place.

The rescue team is at the spot efforts are on to save the minor girl.

Some cattle are also believed to be stuck in the rubble.
