Sacked Delhi water minister Kapil Mishra has accused Kejriwal of corruption by alleging that the chief minister accepted Rs 2 crore from his Cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain.
Anna Hazare on Tuesday said that he has been hurt by the allegations made against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was his Man Friday during his anti-corruption crusade. "I am personally pained and hurt by hearing the allegations against the Delhi chief minister. If he is guilty, then he should immediately resign. And if he is not ready for a probe, then we will start a protest against him at Jantar Mantar," he said.

Hazare said if at all it was true, he did not expect it from Kejriwal. "Now, he has to face an inquiry and come out unscathed. Actually, I was expecting that Arvind himself would come forward and say that he was ready for a probe. Besides, if he is confident that allegations against him are baseless, he should have filed a defamation case. I am surprised he has not taken any such step," said Hazare.
The social activist said that even if someone gives me documentary evidence, he would not hesitate to protest against Kejriwal.
On the idea that Kejriwal would indulge in corruption is far-fetched, he was candid: "I cannot guarantee that anyone, including Arvind, would not be corrupt. If allegations are made against him, and even an FIR has been filed, an in-depth and impartial inquiry has to be carried out by the higher authority. But I am doubtful about the timing and the person who has made the allegations. Why did Kapil Mishra maintain a studied silence for several days? A proper and fast-track inquiry has to be conducted." However,
he added that if the allegations against Kejriwal were true, he should immediately step down.
On Kejriwal being called a man in hurry in politics as he wanted to expand his party in Punjab and Goa perhaps a little too soon, Hazare said that he was neither a political activist nor the Delhi CM's political Guru to offer any advise. However, without any hesitation, he mentioned that Aam Aadmi Party leaders must introspect.
