Rich tributes were paid to the architect of the Constitution, BR Ambedkar, on his 61st death anniversary by thousands of followers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to the architect of the Constitution B R Ambedkar on his death anniversary.
"I bow to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas," the prime minister said on Twitter.
"Felt extremely blessed when I prayed at Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai", said Modi, and sharing some pictures from that visit.
Ambedkar, who was hailed for his contribution towards uplift of Dalits, passed away on this day in 1956.
