In signs of rapprochement between the two warring camps within AAP, senior leader Prashant Bhushan on Monday said he wanted to meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to put an end to the row which has seen him and Yogendra Yadav being ousted from the party's political affairs committee.

Bhushan said he has sought time with Kejriwal and, if he agrees, can meet him along with Yadav.

"I have sent a message to Arvind saying hope he is feeling better after his stay at the Jindal Institute of Naturopathy (in Bangalore). I have said that I would like to meet him as soon as possible so that we can sit together and try to sort out all these problems that have arisen.

"If he wants, I can meet him with Yogendra ji (Yadav), to sort out the problems to whatever extent possible," Bhushan said.

Sources close to Yadav said that the message was sent in the morning on behalf of both the leaders.

Bhushan's statement follows an episode of mudslinging by both camps. Bhushan, along with Yadav, was voted out of the party's all-powerful PAC on March 4. The ouster of the two leaders had also pushed the party to the edge with disagreements arising among its supporters.

Earlier, on March 11, Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, rebutted the allegations of anti-party activities levelled against them by the party's top brass and raised questions about the 'unilateral decisions' by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal.

The duo, in a joint letter to volunteers, however, hoped to work for party unity in future as it was an "opportunity to strengthen" AAP, saying the organisation was much bigger than any individual.

Alleging that the rift between Kejriwal and them started after the Lok Sabha polls when the AAP chief mooted forming a government again in Delhi with the support of Congress which they opposed.

"Kejriwal was adamant on formation of government. We opposed this and insisted that it would send a very wrong signal among the volunteers across the country, as Congress has recently been rejected by Delhi voters completely.

However, Kejriwal went ahead with his efforts on formation of government and he continued till a month prior to elections," read the letter.

The leaders also rejected the allegation that they were releasing some very confidential communications, saying if they wanted they could have made public some secret papers which would have really harmed the party.

However, the leaders had wished speedy recovery for Kejriwal

"We hope that Arvind Kejriwal would come back in Delhi soon and sort out the things in a way that party's unity and soul be working together... We would continue to work for the betterment of the party," the letter added.
