Happy Diwali! May this festival bring happiness, good health and prosperity in everyone’s lives. May the power of good and brightness always prevail!
The thing which grabbed everyone's eyeball was PM Modi and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's Twitter exchange that happened last night. PM Netanyahu extended his Diwali greetings in Hindi, to which PM Modi replied in Hebrew.
“On behalf of the people of Israel, I would like to wish my dear friend @narendramodi and the people of India a joyous Diwali. May this luminous festival of lights bring you happiness and prosperity. Reply to this tweet with the name of the city where you’re celebrating!” the Israeli PM wrote in his tweet.
Replying to that, PM Modi thanked his “dear friend, Bibi,” and said that like every year, this year too he would be spending the Diwali with the troops. He replied, “Bibi, my friend, thank you so much for the Diwali wishes. Every year, I visit our border areas and surprise our troops. This year too, will spend Diwali with our brave troops. Spending time with them is special. I will share photos of the same tomorrow evening. :) @netanyahu,”
ביבי, חבר יקר שלי.
