Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's whirlwind Uttar Pradesh tour, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav said, "The PM's body language has changed ever since Samajwadi Party and the BSP formed an alliance to take on the BJP."

Welcoming Dalit Chetna and Yuva Cycle rally in Lucknow, Yadav said these days he doesn't listen to PM's speeches, but watches his body language. "He wipes sweat, swirls his hands several times and changes his accent while mentioning the SP and BSP in his speeches. It seems that the alliance has changed PM's body language," he said.

Unlike last Lok Sabha polls, the SP chief said, people of Uttar Prdesh would not fall into the trap of hollow promises and sweet tongue. "None of the promises he and his government had made were fulfilled in the last four years. People are still waiting for Rs 15 lakh to be credited to their accounts," he said.

Yadav said that while BJP has removed the word 'Samajwadi' from Purvanchal Expressway, it cannot change its geographical boundaries which fall on districts having SP majority. "When Samajwadis will ride their cycle on the route, the lotus will stop blooming," he said.

Neither Modi nor Yogi government has done any development work in Uttar Pradesh. "They are just busy cutting ribbons of the projects launched by my government. If they have not done any development work, what else can they do?" he said.

He also asked party workers to work for Dalit and backward unity and advised them to rope in support of youth to check the BJP from returning to power in 2019 elections.
