Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday questioned NCP president Sharad Pawar's silence on Congress' demand for separate Prime Minister for J&K.

Addressing an election rally in Ahmednagar district, Modi said NCP has word 'Nationalist' only in its name.

Modi said NCP chief Sharad Pawar had quit the Congress in the name of the country. "Sharad rao, how can you be silent on the two PM demand. Why are you silent? Is this acceptable to you?
"Your party's name is Rashtravadi but you see the country through a foreign lens after allying with the Congress again. Is the name Rashtravadi in your party to fool people," Modi said.

PM Modi also attacked the previous Congress-NCP government for their 'involvement in scams' and asked the crowd whether they wanted corrupt representatives or Chowkidars. Criticising previous UPA government led by Dr Manmohan Singh, PM Modi said it was a remote-control one, and involved in scams. He said the country has seen a strong government in the last five years which took firm decisions in the interest of the country.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ahmednagar candidate Dr Sujay Vikhe-Patil and Dilip Gandhi were present at the rally.

Appealing to the first-time voters, Modi said, "I would like to ask first-time voters as to whether they agree to the weak response on security issues by the previous government? Weather they agree with the compromise with security and national interest? If the country is secure, its future is also secure."

PM Modi said all Maharashtra farmers would be provided with benefits of Shetkari Samman Yojana. He said the scheme targeted small farmers with a landholding of five acres but if NDA comes to power, the benefits would be provided to all.
