Naidu held a teleconference with his party MPs and said that Modi is trying to repeat in Andhra Pradesh what he has done in Tamil Nadu.
"Instead of giving what AP people are rightfully asking, BJP is resorting to using Jagan Mohan Reddy & Pawan Kalyan against us," Naidu told MPs.
Naidu also said that there is strong anti-Modi and anti-BJP feeling across the country and yesterday’s UP and Bihar by-poll results are an example of that.
On Wednesday, Naidu asked TDP MPs to raise the issue of a special status to the state.
Expressing anger over the alleged denial of an appointment to TDP MPs by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Naidu wondered whether the BJP's ally was the Telugu Desam Party or the YSR Congress.
"How can he deny an appointment to friendly MPs and grant an audience to the opposition (YSRC) MP? Who is he (Goyal) insulting? Does he insult the state," Naidu asked angrily.
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has passed a resolution taking strong exception to the Centre's "careless attitude" in implementing the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.
The resolution, moved by Naidu, was passed after an over four-hour long debate on the issue.
Last week, after the resignation of Ashok Gajapathi Raju, YS Chowdary, Naidu expressed the anger over what Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.
Stating that what Arun Jaitley spoke is 'not good', Naidu added, "You are holding a hand of the North Eastern states but not of Andhra Pradesh. You are giving industrial incentives to them, not to Andhra Pradesh. Why this discrimination?."
Earlier, Jaitley had said that giving special category status, as demanded by Naidu, to any state apart from those in the North-East and three hill provinces was not constitutionally possible after the implementation of the 14th Finance Commission recommendations. For special category status states, the Centre meets 90% of the funds required in a centrally sponsored scheme as against 60 percent in case of normal category states. The remaining funds are provided by the state governments.
The TDP has 16 MPs in the Lok Sabha.
