Modi government will be in power for next 10-20 years, says Prakash Javadekar

Prakash Javadekar at the event of BJP National Executive meeting spoke to the media about the agenda discussed at meet.

He  enlisted the achievements of the party which were also discussed at the meet. "2014 was a year of victory for the BJP," he said. PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Arun Jaitley and LK Advani were felicitated for contributing to the party's successes. "BJP has become the biggest party in world, PM Modi, Amit Shah, LK Advani & Arun Jaitley were felicitated for that."

He said that the BJP plans to focus on 'Beti bachao, Beti padhao' campaign. He said that PM Modi asked  BJP leaders to engage in activities outside the realm of politics also. We are planning to expand to areas where we were not so popular," he said. "These non-political activities will show that BJP is different from other parties," Javadekar said on Friday.

He told media persons that the BJP President attacked Congress for fuelling "confusion" over the bill and accused it of "looting" farmers for the last 60 years by using the antiquated British law before it was replaced with The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. "They looted the farmers for 60 years using a law brought by the British. With what face now do they talk about the interest of farmers," Javadekar said, quoting Shah's speech.

He aso said that the Modi government will be in power for the next 10-20 years, "We are not going anywhere."

Talking about the land bill, he said, "BJP is a friend of farmers, its a party of farmers, led by farmers. We worked for farmers and shall."

Javadekar also said that the BJP government wants to make India a manual scavenging-free country.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Rajiv Pratap Rudy & Manoj Sinha will be elevated from MoS to Cabinet posts.
