Plenty of evidence that Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief Asiya Andrabi involved in anti-national activities: NIA

The National Investigation Agency, which is investigating the terror funding in Kashmir, has tightened its vigil against terrorists. The NIA has evidence that Dukhtaran-e-Millat, and its leader Asiya Andrabi, have been involved in anti-national activities.

According to the NIA investigation, the report has been prepared after Andrabi was questioned. The investigation reveals that there are several individuals sitting in various corners of the world plotting an attack on India.

The report further added that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a temple in London, then Andrabi had sent an audio message on the programme’s itinerary to various organisations such as the LeT.

 Andrabi, according to the NIA, has been actively involved in provoking the people of Jammu & Kashmir to act against security forces.

Interestingly,  Dukhtaran-e-Millat is the only organisation that is all-women. The Indian government declared it a terrorist organisation and banned it in 2018.

Andrabi was sent to 10 days in NIA custody by a special court in New Delhi last month. Along with Andrabi, two others were also sent in NIA custody in connection with a case registered in April this year for allegedly waging war against the country and delivering hate speeches in Jammu and Kashmir.

Andrabi, who was in a prison in Srinagar after the Jammu and Kashmir High Court cancelled her bail last month, was brought to the National Capital from Kashmir along with her associates Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen.

 She has several cases registered against her including some for hoisting Pakistani flag on August 14 and March 23 -- the Independence Day and National Day of Pakistan, respectively.
