Karnataka's Labour Minister PT Parameshwar Naik on Wednesday rubbished reports hinting at his role in the resignation of Kudligi Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anupama Shenoy, saying it was her "personal decision" to quit. "I have nothing to do with this. Her resignation is her personal choice. I have no role to play in it," he said.

The 2010-batch officer resigned from her post on Saturday. Even though she cited personal reasons for her resignation, it is suspected that she was miffed with the political interference with her work. In a series of posts on Facebook addressed to Naik on Tuesday, she asked the minister when he would resign. She has also mentioned of a CD and dared the minister if he wants it.

When asked about the CD, Naik said, "You should ask her. The local authorities will pursue the matter. I am not involved." Reports suggest that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was not aware about the details of this particular matter.
