I have no relatives, my battle against corruption is uncompromising: PM Modi at BJP National Executive meet

PM Narendra Modi in his national executive meet has laid out the achievements of his government. He also lashed out at the opposition for using harsh language and urged his party members to work together to create New India by 2022. He is also going to announce schemes for poor in a program to mark the birth centenary of Deendayal Upadhyay. 

In a strong message, PM said that there will not be any compromise with corruption. He said that the government managed to solve the Doklam stand-off peacefully, and many were surprised by it. He also said that he believes in governance with public participation. Outlining his agenda, PM said that party is second, India is first. He also appealed BJP cadres to politically fight the ongoing tussle in Kerala. 

Addressing a press conference later, Arun Jaitley said PM Modi hailed the BJP organisation for being the most active party in the country. PM Modi in his speech said democracy must be beyond election and public participation is key in the democratic process. He asked BJP leaders to make the party an instrument of mass participation to improve the quality of life of people. He said as long as political activists don't take part in mass movements, it is hard to achieve success. Swacch Mision, Ujwala scheme were mentioned as ambitious projects needing mass participation. 

According to Jaitley, PM said that opposition often resorts to harsh language when they lack substantive charge against the government.

PM also highlighted several schemes like savings from Aadhaar. FM also said that PM will announce some schemes for the downtrodden section of the society later in the day. PM in his speech highlighted that his government will continue to be tough on terror. PM also said his battle against corruption is uncompromising and he will not spare anyone if found to be corrupt. He also said that he has no relatives. 

Arun Jaitley says that most macroeconomic data has been sounder than never before, except the GDP figures in the last quarter. He explains the reason behind the blip in the radar. When asked if the party is overconfident of winning in 2019, Arun Jaitley denied that and said the party will try its best to win the mandate of the people, to ensure New India is formed under their rule. Jaitley says that no effort has been made by Congress in the past to bring back black money. 

Earlier, BJP passed political resolution in the national executive Resolution says BJP shall make india corruption free, terrorism and separatism free, communalism free, poverty free, casteism free and work towards Swachh Bharat.

BJP President Amit Shah hit out at Rahul Gandhi for his dynasty comment earlier in the day.  "President, Vice President, Prime Minister reached their position due to performance," said Shah taking a dig at Gandhi. Shah also said that the BJP believes in politics of performance and Congress in dynasty and politics of appeasement. "Politics of appeasement will not be acceptable," he said.

"BJP will keep expanding its base for the next five years under vistarak scheme. 4862 party functionaries are engaged day and night for this work," Shah said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to dispel concerns over the state of the economy and lay down his government's economic and political agenda. Presence of the party's all elected lawmakers, including close to 1,400 MLAs, 337 MPs and all MLCs besides its core group leaders from states among others is a key highlight of the meeting. More than 2,000 delegates are attending the meet.
