Only Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung can take a decision on the formation of the next government in Delhi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday. "Only the LG (Najeeb Jung) can say what will be done. Only he can take any decision," Rajnath Singh said when questioned about the prevailing political situation in Delhi.

Asked what would be the Home Ministry's recommendation to the president on the issue, the minister said: "The president has not sought our advice." He refused to comment on the Aaam Aadmi Party's allegations of MLA poaching by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The Aam Aadmi Party Monday released a video which showed Delhi BJP vice president Sher Singh Dagar allegedly offering a plum post and money to AAP legislator Dinesh Mohaniya in a bid to help the BJP to take power in Delhi. Meanwhile, reports suggested Jung is likely to invite the BJP to form the government in the national capital.

Delhi has been under President's rule since Arvind Kejriwal resigned as chief minister February 14 after being in office for 49 days. The BJP won 31 seats in the 70-member house but now has 28 legislators after three were elected to the Lok Sabha in the general elections held in April-May. The AAP also has 28 MLAs representing it.
