Amidst criticism for his Facebook post where he threatened to damage the statue of EP Ramasamy, the Tamil socialist leader who is popularly known as Periyar, BJP leader H Raja on Wednesday denied that he ever wrote the post, saying that it was done by an admin without his permission.
“The post on my Facebook page was done by one of the administrators without my permission. As soon as I came to know about it, I deleted the post. We have to respond through statements and opinions not through violence. It is not correct to deface statue of Periyar,” he told ANI.

Raja’s statement comes soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed strong disapproval of the incidents of vandalism reported from certain parts of the country.
He shd be arrested for creating communal tension, then we will see if his FB admin takes the hit

"BJP does not subscribe to any kind of provoking or disrespectful statements and actions of vandalism towards leaders like Periyar. We condemn outrightly those people who are indulging in such actions," said P Muralidhar Rao, the national general secretary of the party on Wednesday.

However, Twitter didn’t take too kindly to Raja’s statement and a number of people trolled him.
Earlier, Raja’s Facebook status read, “Who is Lenin? How is he connected to India? How is communism connected to India? The Lenin statue was razed in Tripura. Today it is a Lenin statue in Tripura. Tomorrow, it will be the statue of caste-crazed EV Ramasamy in Tamil Nadu," read his post that was deleted after the fiery backlash.
Earlier, two people have been arrested for allegedly vandalising a Periyar statue at a municipal corporate office in Tamil Nadu's Vellore on Tuesday. This was followed by miscreants hurling a petrol bomb into the BJP's Coimbatore office.
Both the accused were in an inebriated condition. Earlier on Tuesday, BJP national secretary H Raja had threatened to take down statues of 'Periyar' EV Ramasamy soon, like the Lenin statue that was vandalised and razed in Tripura after the BJP's poll victory in the state.
