Hitting out at Saamna, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Monday claimed that it was the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Shiv Sena alliance which was at the 'Intensive Care Unit' (ICU) and not the Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan as suggested by the Shiv Sena mouthpiece .

"Well the only thing which is in the intensive care unit at the moment is the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. Even before the assembly elections have been held they have started squabbling for the loaves and fishes of office," Tewari told ANI while reacting on the Sena mouthpiece's jibe at the Maharashtra Chief Minister.

"So therefore, the people of Maharashtra should decide as to whether they want a government which has served the state for 15 years, or they want a bunch of people who even before the assembly elections have been held are already squabbling for the loaves and fishes of office," he said here.

In an editorial the Shiv Sena mouthpiece slammed Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan for his comments against its party chief Uddhav Thackeray by stating that he has become an ICU patient, who in his unconscious state is making senseless statement.

The Saamna editorial not only questioned Chavan's experience in becoming the Maharashtra chief minister but also raised questions about Rajiv Gandhi's experience in being made as Prime Minister.

Saamna's jibe at the Maharashtra Chief Minister comes after Chavan had raised questions about Uddhav Thackeray's experience in running a government.
