Noida Development Authority to provide oxygen cylinders and refilling to COVID-19 patients in home isolation

The Noida Authority has taken up another major effort in view of the scarcity of oxygen cylinders and lack of oxygen. The Authority has taken a big initiative to help those people who are living in home isolation at their own places and fighting the COVID-19 disease.

The Authority will not only provide oxygen but also provide oxygen cylinders to such people. Till now the Noida Development Authority was refueling oxygen in two centres of the city. Now those who do not have oxygen cylinders can take the cylinder directly from the authority.

After they recover completely, this cylinder will have to be returned by the people. People can avail this facility from Tuesday morning itself. For this, a minimum security deposit of Rs 2500 will have to be deposited in the work circle office.

Each time a refilling charge of Rs 200 will have to be deposited. Security money will be returned to the patient's relatives when they return the empty oxygen cylinders. On Monday, Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari launched this facility.

Oxygen Bank in Noida has been established at 10 locations in the city. There are patients from villages and sectors in Noida who are in home isolation at present and those who can be given treatment with low oxygen on the advice of the doctors will be given the benefit of this facility.

If such people do not have an oxygen cylinder, they can take the cylinder from the authority's bank. The Authority has 5-litre capacity oxygen cylinders. 200 oxygen cylinders have been allocated in all 10 work circles of the city.
