Kashmir based militant commanders have changed the strategy to go for attacks near the Line of Control (LoC) and International border (IB) on Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and other security installations.
According to sources, Pakistan based handlers of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Jasih-e-Mohammad (JeM) commanders in Kashmir have planned to involve freshly infiltrated militants.
Last year 101 militants were killed by security forces during an infiltration bid. Commanders like Abu Hurraira (LeT), Mohammad Qasim, Walid and Adil Pathan and Saifullah are under tremendous pressure from their handlers. They failed to sabotage Parliamentary and Assembly elections last year.
As a result, the handlers sent in fresh infiltrators who attacked an Army camp in Mohra last year when elections were going on in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources, as per the new strategy, the militants now plan to carry out more attacks by infiltrating from LoC and IB.
The attacks on Kathua and Mohra were jointly took by LeT and JeM.
