The Union government is mulling a new 'people-friendly' toll policy, which is expected to be ready in a month, Road Transport, Shipping and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, said on Thursday.
"We are planning to start a new toll policy to give relief to the people," the minister told reporters. Within a month, it will be declared, he said. Later speaking at an interactive session of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he said the government was trying for 100% FDI in the road sector.
"We are trying our best to get low interest foreign investments. Presently, Indian banks are charging 13% interest," he said.
