Narendra Modi to BJP MPs: Follow parliamentary ethics, spend time in constituencies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday instructed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament (MP) attending an orientation camp in Surajkund, Haryana, to follow parliamentary procedures and ethics properly, focus on their work, and spend more time in their respective constituencies. "BJP MPs should follow parliamentary procedures and ethics in the proper manner, focus on work, and spend more time in their constituencies," reports quoted Modi, as saying.

He also asked them to chart a blueprint for development in their respective constituencies and share it with government.

In addition to that, the Prime Minister also asked all MPs to prepare a road map for their work for next six months. The two-day orientation camp for BJP MPs' commenced today, at a hotel in Surajkund. Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressed them at the start of the programme.  The orientation will cover several issues, including how to behave responsibly in parliament, how to use social media effectively and how to use their MPLAD funds most effectively. 

The workshop is being attended by all party leaders, including Sushma Swaraj, LK Advani, Piyush Goyal and M.Venkaiah Naidu. The meet will conclude on Sunday with Advani giving the valedictory address.
