Excerpts from his Bangalore speech:
* Bangalore's youth has made the country proud. Apart from Silicon Valley, only Bangalore has some massive IT undertakings.

* The attacks on BJP and Modi have become sharper because they can neither bring about such rallies, nor digest the fact that they cant.

* I have come to this city many times, never has any election campaign visit seen such a huge rally. Like a saffron sea all around.

* For the first time, under Atal Bihari Vajpayee's govt a different IT ministry was created.

* Our youth have done well all over the world, especially in the IT sector. And Bangalore leads the way.

* In 2003 Atalji announced Moon Mission from Red Fort, in 2008 Chandrayan was a success. Mangalyaan was continuation of that S&T policy.

* They (Congress) are cut off from real world, they live in ivory towers, they are indoor players, we are outdoor players.

* UPA wants to get rid of gau-raksha, for vote bank.Just like they got rid of POTA, for vote bank. It gave rise to terrorism & Naxalvaad.

* Instead of giving subsidies to slaughter houses, If incentives had been brought in for software engineers, then the economy wouldn't have deteriorated.

* Congress promised to give jobs to youth but I ask you if they gave you jobs? No. They also rendered our youth jobless.

* We are blessed that we have a vibrant democracy. Our other strength is we are most youthful nation in the world.

* Supreme Court mey kehte hain Koyle kii file kho gayee. Arey file nahii poori sarkar kho gayee. Hindustan ki toh life kho gayi hai.

* UPA is sitting on ivory towers. They are indoor players we are outdoor players.

* The rupee is falling, looks like UPA's rupee is in ICU.

* :In 2011 Congress opened the Skill Development Advisory Office. And then, in 2013 they shut it.

* Skill development is important, but our govt has allocated just Rs 1000 cr for it. While Gujarat has allocated Rs 800 cr for it.

* UPA started pink revolution. Export of meat. Because of this, animals being cut up in large numbers.

* The government is trying to suppress the voice of youth on social media.

* They are questioning TV channels in a threatening manner why did you telecast Modi's speech on 15th August.I am just a Chief Minister.

* The government does not respect Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar.

* Great men are far-sighted. But when the system falls in wrong hands, what happens you know very well.

* Our priority is to empower the youth so that India can move forward.

* A few days back, Lata Mangeshkar said that Modi should become PM. UPA said she should be ripped off her Bharat Ratna.

* In democracy do people not have the right to say what they want? Cong doesn't believe in democracy.

* The govt is not running on efficiency, it is running because of CBI.

* Chidambaram said if u spend Rs 15 for water Rs20 for ice cream why not Re 1 for rice. Is this the way to talk about urban middle class.

* Centre is not surviving because they have a majority. It is running due to CBI.

* In Wankhede, people were betting will Sachin score a century or will onion prices reach a century.

* They keep saying power is poison, and pretend to 'protect' people from this 'poison'. This so called poison is only for one family?

* We need to move forward towards clean governance. We need to eradicate stagnancy. I have full faith in the citizens of this country.

* Now chant with me, " Bharat Mata Ki Jai!"

* I thank the 3.5 lakh people who paid Rs10 to come for this rally, it is an honor.

The rally in Karnataka is crucial for the party which is hoping to work the Gujarat Chief Minister magic to bring the party back to power in the state.

The BJP had lost the Karnataka Assembly polls earlier this year and Congress came to power.

Karnataka has 28 seats in the Lok Sabha and of those, 19 seats are held by the BJP. However, BJP’s recent poor show in the state Assembly polls will weigh heavy on the party’s state.

The B S Yeddyurappa factor will also be critical for the BJP, as it is in a predicament on whether to bring the former chief minister back into its fold or rely on his outside support.

Yeddyurappa formed his own political party Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) after splitting with BJP a year ago.
