Narendra Modi govt is fascist: DPF leaders

DPF leaders attacked Gujarat chief minister allegeing that the government has cared only for the rich and has neglected poor farmers and labourers.

The newly-formed Democratic People’s Forum (DPF) leaders attacked Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday at a rally organised in the Khanpur area of city.
Terming Modi government as fascist, they alleged that government had cared only for the rich and had neglected poor farmers and labourers.

The DPF has, with its prominent forces from all over the country, joined hands with the New Socialist Movement, an organisation run by prominent lawyer and civil rights activist Dr Mukul Sinha. The DPF also plans to organise awareness rallies to oust the present Modi-led BJP government.

A large number of left leaders from across the country attended the rally. With the slogan of ‘BJP Hatao’ (Oust BJP), the rally which started from Shahpur and passed through Dilli Darwaja and Mirzapur, was converted into public meeting at JP Chowk in Khanpur
Renowned danseuse Mallika Sarabhai, lawyer an activist Mukul Sinha, Amrish Patel and other prominent leaders spoke at the rally against the BJP government.

DPF convener KN Ramachandran, who is also the general secretary of CPI (ML), appealed to the people to defeat the anti-people government led by Modi and start working for alternatives.

Mukul Sinha, president of New Socialist Movement pointed out that the present election in Gujarat is without any agenda and the parties are busy blaming each other on amount of each others corruption.

Thousands of working class people carrying red flags and banners from different states like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Rajasthan etc. participated in the rally.
