Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio won the lone Lok Sabha seat in the state defeating his Congress rival KV Pusa by around four lakh votes, officials said.
Rio got 7,13,712 votes while Pusa secured 3,13,826 votes.
Rio's Naga People's Front (NPF) is part of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance.
In all, three candidates, including an independent, contested for the lone Lok Sabha seat of Nagaland.
This was the third consecutive win for the NPF, as it had also won the 2004 and 2009 polls in the mountainous northeastern state bordering Myanmar.
