Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today directed the state DGP J V Ramudu to speed up the investigation into the suspected rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Guntur district and arrest culprits.
Chandrababu, along with the DGP and other senior police officers, reviewed the incident and directed them to make all-out efforts to nab culprit (s), an official release said.
The body of the girl, a resident of Rajiv Rajika Colony of Vinukonda in Guntur district, was found yesterday and police suspect it to be a case of rape and murder.
Chandrababu also instructed the DGP to send a senior police official to Guntur to fast track the probe.
