Muzaffarnagar riots: Four accused arrested in Jolly killings

Four people have been arrested in connection with a double murder case at Jolly village here during the Muzaffarnagar riots last year, police said on Monday.

Riots accused Ankit, Sunil, Zulfikar and Ishtiyak were arrested yesterday for killing Latafat Ali and Nazar Mohammad near Gang Nahar, popularly known as Jolly canal under Bhopa police station here on September 7 last year, SP (Crime) Rakesh Jolly said.

Ankit and Sunil have been sent to 14-days judicial custody, he said.

The incident took place when a group of villagers were returning home after attending a Mahapanchayat in September last year.
