Mumbai: You will never believe why a complaint was filed against BJP corporator Ritu Tawde

BJP corporator Ritu Tawde is in a spot of bother for allegedly breaching the code of conduct.. Shiv Sena shakha pramukh (branch chief) from Ghatkopar, Sanjay Kadam complaint filed against her with all proofs. Kadam has complained that Tawde arranged Haldi-Kumkum function in her area and had a conducted a lucky draw. The winners were given saris and gold ‘nath’, a nose pin.

The passes for the function reportedly had her picture on it. Sena’s alleging that Tawde has been arranging haldi-kumkum functions for women in different areas of her ward since January 21 and had gifted utensils, saris and gold nose pins. Photographs were submitted as proof which reportedly show Tawde handing over gifts to the winners of the lucky draw, whose tickets also had Tawde’s picture on it.

Kadam has alleged that Tawde hadn’t sought any permission to arrange such functions. Tawde didn’t respond to calls or text messages from DNA.
