Mumbai: Firing in Dharavi, one killed

A man was killed on Monday afternoon after an unidentified assailant allegedly fired gunshots at him in Dharavi.

According to Dharavi Police, the police control room had received a call from an unknown number around 2.00 pm informing that a firing had taken place near Dharavi's Sangam Nagar area, in which an unidentified person had been injured.

While the man who fired gunshots at the victim fled from the spot, the victim was rushed to Sion hospital where he was declared dead on arrival." As of now, neither the victim nor the assailant has been identified. Our efforts are on to identify them," said Suryakant Bangar Senior Police Inspector of Dharavi Police Station.
