Taking a dig at Narendra Modi's speech in Patna, the Congress Party on Saturday claimed that his views were poll driven only.

"Prime Minister's opinion is politically influenced and attuned to the upcoming Bihar elections. The Prime Minister always goes to poll-bound states and criticises the former government," Congress leader Anand Sharma told ANI.

Questioning Prime Minister Modi's accomplishments, he asked "what have you (Modi) done within 13-15 months? You have reached this post by slamming other governments."

"Prime Minister needs to also look after the nation's resources and the requirements of the states. Talking according to his political convenience is irresponsibility of the highest order. Earlier, he used to use this for his publicity when he was in the opposition, which is a different matter, but now he is the nation's Prime Minister," he added.

The Prime Minister announced several schemes during his day-long visit to Bihar today and promised the people of the state a package bigger than the amount of Rs.50,000 crores. He also agreed with Nitish Kumar that the development of Bihar has suffered due to politics.
