The Congress on Friday dubbed the mock drill conducted by the Gujarat Police as extremely serious, and alleged that such acts which depict the minority community in poor light, is tantamount to an insult and isolates them from society.

"I think the Gujarat Government has done a very very serious mistake because skull cap is a symbol of a community and they wear it as their right.Gujarat is a state where out of its 6.5 crore of population, Muslims constitutes not more than 25 or 40 lakhs. So isolating them, this is too much. This is insulting them, incriminating them and isolating them from the society,"
