The nights at Mudra Institute of Communication's (MICA) campus are set to get longer as the eagerly awaited 12th edition of Sankalp, the renowned theatre society event, will kickstart on Thursday.

Rightfully titled 'The Opening Night', the tone for the eventful journey will be set by a play based on Ruskin Bond's He said it with Arsenic. The play will revolve around a 'gentleman killer' for whom murdering is an art. Without letting drop a slightest hint, William Jones, the character in the play kills people. The play will showcase inherent ironies, building into a rivetting climax.

Having revived in 2000, Sankalp has developed into an important means for exploring the boundaries of communication through theatre and other performance media.

Apart from regular plays within the campus and street plays around the institute area, Sankalp produces one grand production every year for the paying public at Natarani.
