of 35 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal, it said

In Haryana, hot weather conditions prevailed in Hisar and
Narnaul, which recorded maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees
Celsius and 38.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Ambala recorded a maximum of 35.9 degrees Celsius, up
three notches against the normal, while Karnal's maximum
settled at 34.8 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 36.6 degrees
Celsius, three notches above the normal limit.
Ludhiana recorded a high of 36.4 degrees Celsius, up
three notches against the normal while Patiala's maximum
settled at 35.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the
normal.
The Met has forecast possibility of rain or
thundershowers at a few places in the two states, including
Chandigarh over the next two days.
