Maoist forces strike in Jharkhand, blow up govt buildings

Maoist forces struck in Chainpur in the Giridih region of Jharkhand on Friday morning, blowing up three government buildings. Further details are awaited. 

Police on Thursday night recovered more than 12 can bombs from a private lodge in Kankarbagh area in Bihar. Senior Superintendent of Police Vikash Vaibhav said that on a tip off, police searched the lodge and recovered the bombs hidden there.

Maoists are suspected to be behind it, he said.

The lodge has been sealed and officials of forensic department and bomb disposal squad were called, the SSP added.
