Major fire erupts at industrial unit in Palghar, one injured

Around afternoon on Sunday, a major fire erupted at a grease manufacturing company in Palghar. Flames and billows of smoke could be seen at the 10km periphery, while one worker has been injured.

The inferno, which engulfed Anand Engineering Private Limited, damaged the plant's machinery.

The industrial unit was located at Genesis Industrial Township at Kolgaon in Palghar (E).
Using help from experts, Palghar police is probing the cause of fire. A police officer said, "We have taken note of the incident and if we find any person responsible, we will book them under relevant sections of the IPC."
