Maharashtra: Woman crushed to death after bike's tyre gets stuck in pothole

A woman biker in Maharashtra was crushed to death after she fell off her motorcycle when the tyre of her bike got stuck in a pothole.

The victim has been identified as Jagruti Hogale, a resident of Bandra.

The incident took place at Dahanu-Jawhar Road in Palghar district on Sunday.

"Due to the pothole, she lost balance and her head came under the rear tyre of the truck she was trying to overtake." an official from Kasa police station told a news channel.

The officer added that the victim could not spot the pothole as it was filled with water.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil has demand an FIR to be registered against those responsible under Sec 302 and negligence.
