Similarly, a go-ahead was also given for setting up of the Transgender Welfare Board which will undertake programmes for the survey of the transgender population and also take up employment and welfare schemes for the community.
Officials said the cabinet had accepted the report of the cabinet sub-committee set up to study the demands of the Lingayat community. The report of the State OBC commission was also accepted, officials said.
