Kolkata: American citizen molested by high profile industrialists

An American citizen was allegedly molested at her workplace in Kolkata. She filed a complaint of molestation against four city-based high profile industrialists on Thursday, June 18.

The FIR was filed with the Chetla police station against these industrialists for allegedly molesting her at workplace. Police have slapped charges of molestation, criminal intimidation and insulting the modesty of a woman. The complaint was filed by the woman after she was sacked from the workplace.

A copy of the FIR in possession of dna mentions sections - 354A, 506, 509 and 114 against these four industrialists. 

"This incident happened six months back. I had even approached the ICC at my workplace. However, they have been sitting on my complaint and are far from acting on it. The accused have even threatened me with dire consequences if I divulge anything or file a complaint with the police," the victim alleged.

On the other hand, one of the four against whom the allegations of molestation have been levelled, has filed a counter complaint against the complainant. The complaint mentions that she stole a laptop from the workplace and section 408 - criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant has been slapped.

Meanwhile, the police has begun investigation into this case. "We are investigating the case and will take necessary actions," deputy commissioner of police (south division) Murlidhar Sharma told dna.
