Ahmedabad: Kidnappers pull off girl's hair with scalp

A 21-year-old girl in Gujarat on Thursday alleged that she was brutally attacked by 4 men in a case of kidnapping and loot. The accused pulled off her hair along with her scalp, essentially leaving part of her head skinless and bleeding, she said.

Vilash Vaghela, a BEd student was on the Botad highway when she was allegedly kidnapped by some people in a car. She was rushed to a hospital in Botad but as her condition worsened, she was rushed to VS Hospital in Ahmedabad.

The police, however, later said that preliminary probe suggests it to be an accident. 

She has lost a thumb and an ear in the incident. According to police, the girl had gone out with a male friend and met with an accident. "It appears she narrated a different version of the events just to conceal her relationship," investigating officer claimed. 

Further investigations are underway.
