Yet another Congress leader, this time a member of Parliament K Sudhakaran, hurt the party reputation when he was caught on camera bullying the sub-inspector of the Mannur police station. Sudhakaran was caught on camera trying to force the release of a man the Mannur police had arrested for sand mining.
Not only did the MP abuse the sub-inspector for arresting K Ragesh, also a youth Congress leader, he also asked who he was to beat Ragesh. Apparently, Ragesh had gone to the police station allegedly to demand the release of a truck confiscated after it was found to be smuggling sand.
In no mood to listen to what the police had to say, Sudhakaran shouted at the inspector, "Are you a filmstar? Who are you to beat up Kallikodan Rajesh? You will be out of service in no time. Don't play politics here."
