Former Red FM RJ Rajesh hacked to death by unknown assailants in Thiruvananthapuram

In a shocking incident, a radio jockey was hacked to death at 2 AM on Tuesday in his studio at Thiruvananthapuram while he was unloading equipment with his friend.

Rajesh aka Rasikan Rajesh, 36, was also a mimicry artist as well as a folk singer. According to a report in TOI, the crime took place around 2 AM at the sound recording studio – Metro Studio – owned by Rajesh at Madavoor which falls under the jurisdiction of the Pallickal police station.

Rajesh and his friend had returned from a programme and were putting equipment back into the studio when unidentified assailants who came in a red Maruti Swift car attacked them with sharp weapons. Both were rushed to the hospital after the cops were alerted by locals who heard the commotion.

Rajesh succumbed to his injuries at Parilapplly while his friend Kuttan is undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Rajesh has worked with Red FM as a RJ before joining Kerala FM station in Doha. He had returned recently from abroad and is survived by a wife and son.
