BJP President Amit Shah who on Tuesday had condemned Kapil Sibal for trying to delay Ayodhya case hearing in Supreme Court again attacked the Congress leader today. He tweeted shortly after  Sunni Waqf Board disassociated itself from senior lawyer and Congress leader Kapil Sibal, who had been representing it in the Supreme Court in connection with the long-standing Ayodhya matter.

Sibal had, yesterday, demanded for the next hearing in the case to be held only in July 2019 after the completion of the next Lok Sabha polls, citing political ramifications. Speaking to ANI, Haji Mehboob,Sunni Waqf Board said, "Yes, Kapil Sibal is our lawyer, but he is also related to a political party. His statement in the court yesterday was wrong. We want a solution to the issue at the earliest. We have got nothing to do with his statement." The Supreme Court yesterday deferred hearing in the case for February 8, 2018.

Soon Amit Shah tweeted:

It's clear Shah is not only cornering Kapil Sibal, but he is also dragging Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the entire controversy. By 'High Command', BJP President alluded to two tallest leaders of Congress. On Tuesday too, Shah said that while Rahul Gandhi is visiting temples, Sibal is looking to slow down the judicial process. He further increased his rhetoric after clarification from the Sunni Waqf Board.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attacked the Congress party and senior leader Kapil Sibal for linking Ram Mandir issue with politics. However, reacting to that, Modi said, "Yesterday in the SC, a Congress MP Kapil Sibal was arguing (which is his right) for the Babri Masjid. He is entitled to do that but is it right for him to say: postpone hearing till 2019? Why does he have to link a Ram Mandir with elections? Is such thinking proper," the Prime Minister asked while addressing a rally in Gujarat's Dhandhuka.
