In a stinging attack on the ruling BJP government, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi not only questioned the economic downturn but also the ideology of the party.

“Inka (BJP) main sangathan RSS hai. Kitni mahila hain usme, kabhi shaakha mein mahilaon ko dekha hai shorts mein? Maine to nahi dekha (RSS is the main organisation of BJP. Have you ever seen any women in shorts at any shaakha? I haven't seen one),” Gandhi said while interacting with students in Vadodara on Tuesday.

Without naming the BHU violence, Gandhi went on slamming the BJP for its oppresive mindset.

“Inki (BJP) thinking ha jab tak mahila chup rahe, kuch bole na tab tak mahila theek hai jaise hi mahila ne muh khola usko chup karvao (BJP's thinking is that till the time a woman is silent, it's fine, but the moment she speaks up, then they force her to shut up).

The Congress vice president, who is in poll-bound Gujarat, didn't spare the NDA government for the economic slowdown.

Talking about lack of jobs, Gandhi said that all jobs are going to China.

“Job creation is India's main problem. 29,550 out of 30,000 new jobseekers are unable to secure their livelihoods...Selfies are fun but most phones are Made In China, helping their youth find jobs, not ours. Buy Indian phones,” Gandhi said.
